Located 90 miles north of Atlanta and situated on the Tennessee/North Carolina line, Fannin County, Georgia, serves as the gateway to the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains and welcomes visitors year-round for unforgettable outdoor adventures and whimsical cabin escapes on the southernmost tip of the Appalachian Mountains.
Challenge
Upon launching a Tempest-developed website in the summer of 2022, the Fannin County Chamber & CVB was searching for new ways to engage their community partners with the new website, beyond just a partner listing.
Solution
Destination Signals™ introduced Sponsored Content as a way to increase engagement with local businesses, provide more targeted exposure to prospective travelers and, in turn, elevate the overall value of the partnership.
To kick off the program, the Destination Signals™ team conducted an immersive, three-day community visit in the spring of 2023, where they met face-to-face with partners and built out content activation plans that spoke to each business’ unique needs and offerings.
Equipped with local knowledge and insights, Destination Signals™ immediately began developing and deploying customized placements for these businesses. Each placement featured original copy and high quality imagery, and was blended seamlessly within strategically targeted pages on the website that would be most fitting for a given business’ features and intended audience.
